Having spent more than fifteen years at the forefront of the global electronic underground, James’ cultural lens is particularly sharp.
Musical projects Sigha, Faugust and Neon Chambers have seen him become a regular at clubs like Berghain, Tresor and Fabric, honing an already impressive understanding of narrative and ear for detail, while his discography demonstrates a stylistic breadth not always associated with dance culture, with work released on imprints like Dekmantel, Hotflush, Blueprint, Token and Avian.
His technical ability as a creative sound designer has seen him tapped for sample packs, lectures, masterclasses and installations, as well as working with a growing list of clients from across the commercial sector, including, among others, i-D magazine, Beams, The Hayward Gallery, Moro Dabron and The Roman National Museum.
Always forward moving and with both eyes on the contemporary landscape James has embraced the current blurring of underground art, pop culture and the commercial world bringing an authenticity and relevance to projects, and an elevated approach to his own artistic output.
